50% added is not double, 100% added is. UK is smaller than Japan. 

Well okay, I said nearly doubles when it's closer to 50%. Still, 360 only doubles PS3 in Americas. Judging how PS3 rapes 360 in Japan, I think domestic association makes a big impact. Personally I'm more surprised that PS3 is 50% more popular then 360 in EMEAA. GT5 helped, a lot.

Also UK - 51k units sold this Week, Japan did 96k, after that there is France Italy and Germany(which sold 30-41k systems), then everyone else is less then half the size of UK. UK is a pretty big region in EMEAA, it's about as big as Italy and Germany combined. My point was that it's weirder to see PS3 have a 50% lead in EMEAA, with no domestic brand association, then to see 360 see a 100% lead with brand association, and Kinect pushing sales hard.

Thats exactly it. GT5 and DC universe, and LBP2. The ps3 has been releasing relentless software. While kinect and the 360 stay without any exclusives or announcments. It makes no sense for them to be beating the ps3 so bad in america when they have no software releases. 

Price makes a big difference. Yes i know the 250GB version is same price as PS3 but the arcade is usually on sale for $150 every weekend. Atleast here in Canada. Mom and dad go to store with little johnny asking for video games. He finally gets his wish arcade 4gb xbox :P

The 360 seems to be owning in NA so far this year.

OT: the 360 is doing massive numbers, maybe one day if Wii sales slow donw termendously and the 360 keeps on going, we could see the gap close in the US

DC Universe is a small title, it's not going to budge sales, and GT5 is as old as Kinect. Only thing new PS3 has offered is LBP2, and soon coming up Killzone 3. LBP2 did boost sales, but like almost any other game (especially a sequel), it's boosts only last a couple weeks. Kinect was a major change to the 360 console itself. It completly opened the 360 to the casual game audience, and with Arcade 360's, and 360 Kinect bundles so cheap it should be a great alternative console for Wii and PS3 owners. However arcade 360's just don't sell much, so nvm about that, but Kinect is a major console rennovation. It's big enough to keep 360 sales somewhat infated to keep it competitive with PS3 on a worldwide market even though 360 has no new exclusive titles for a long time.

However to be fair, most of the big games of Q1 and Q2 are multiconsole. Dead Space 2, L.A. Noire, Crysis 2, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, etc etc are all receiving, or will likely receive similar ratings to LBP2 and Killzone 3. Kinect on the other hand has no multi-platform titles. :O!

Also GT5 getting lower reviews then Forza 3 really hurt that exclusives appeal.

Ontop of that, GT5 was PS3's only exclusive for fall 2010. 360 had Halo, and Fable as well as the whole Kinect ordeal (PS3 had Move too to be fair, but Kinect was much more impactful), so new owners still have those titles to look forward to.

360 is only beating PS3 2 to 1 in Americas, thats not that rediculous as 10 to 1 in Japan for PS3. Domestic brand association make a big impact, why else do you think Government Motors is still operational? I'm surprised that Kinect is only giving 360 ridiculous sales in that one region, I would have thought it would have boosted EMEAA sales as much as GT5.
