This game is been in development for around 11 (?) years, but will it be worth the wait?

To be honest, I wasn't blown away by the trailers or in game footage shown last 6 months. The graphics aren't great, but mediocre, the gameplay looks ok, but nothing new or spectaculair, and the humor.... well it's kind of childish but I understand what's funny about it. 

The game suge high expectations and all the years of waiting creates a huge hype, but I think it will be a big disappointment. What are you expecting?

It's been in development for 14 years, since early 97.

The game you see now is in fact just a couple of years in development...They started from scratch a couple of years ago (only a part of the story still exist);.

The game will probably be great because it more a Puzzle FPS...with a lot of humour;..

Only the game length can be problem..

I doubt it. Too much hype and anticipation that even a great game will be disappointing by the public's and media's standards. 

But ol' Duke has proved me wrong before!

NOTHING is worth 14 years of waiting, this game could be GOTY for 3 years straight and it still wouldn't be worth the wait. Also the 15-10 I doubt very much, borderland was incredibly short, I was hoping that would last about as long as diablo 2 and it was about as long as the first chapter of the former game.

Long answer: No game is worth 14 years of waiting!!!

Who sits around waiting for a game to appear, there's plenty great stuff to play.

If it succeeds in bringing back humor into fps then I'll be getting it. Enough with the grey/brown 'realism', bring back the wisecracks, shrink ray, non-lineair maps and flying pigs. At least in all this time there has been plenty of material to parody.

Well, no game is truly worth 14 years worth of wait. However, I still think it'll be a good game and a much needed game in the FPS genre which has become solely about military shooters these past few years (e.g. Call of Duty).

It has the making of a decent game if we ignore the super-long development: Humour, ridiculous weaponry, puzzle elements, variety of enemies, and if it's anything like Duke 3D it'll be a good challenge. Oh... and nudity/strippers of course.
