Dragon Quest series are products of quality, unlike FF, which has whore itself to tons of spin-offs and 2 laughable sequels (XIII and XIV).

I must have said this about 5 times in other threads, but seriously, if you want a game, get the game, whatever the console. If you really want a game people need to get rid of whatever pre-set bias they have towards any company (not meaning towards you or anyone else in a hard way, just a general statement ) and just enjoy gaming again.

You'll find it's much more fun that way!

I believe He meant it will sell Millions in Japan, because it's Dragon Quest!  

I know that, but since the Wii hasn't had a "proper" game like this (i.e. no FF13), then it's uncharted territory...

I just want news, any news.

And the dude who stated that Wii has no games is stuck in October 2008 IMO

DQ has tons of spin-offs just like FF dude.

Well DQVIII was 5 years in development if I am not mistaken without much news so DQX looks like similar development cycle.

I agree with this statement. Dragon quest games are amazing.

Well DQVIII was 5 years in development if I am not mistaken without much news so DQX looks like similar development cycle. 

So a release Q4 this year is possible, but likely in 18 months time...and over 2 years for us

Yeah as we all know Square Enix have never backstabber Nintend in the past ;)

Changing sides isn't the same as backstabbing. I mean, I don't think Nintendo published DQ-DQVI anywhere.

Besides, this time, they have plenty to lose by switching sides since the best selling Wii game in Japan is well over 4m whilst the best selling PS3 game won't be touching 2m anytime soon and DQX is gonna fail in the West without Nintendo's help.

Yeah they had not much to lose when they wanted to launch a game on a console that was getting outsold by the Sega Saturn..
