Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Dragon Quest X Wii -- Where is it?

Everytime I get frustrated with the lack of DQX news, I just think about how long people have been waiting for Final Fantasy Versus XIII and take comfort in the fact that no matter how long DQX takes, it's still coming out before that game.

I haven't used my Wii in a long time because honestly there are no games for it, but I'll use it once this comes out in 2013.

It's on its way to be ported to PS3

IF THAT HAPPEN I WILL BUY 2 COPIES (SERIOUSLY, 1 COPY FOR COLLECTION, WRAPED) AND I HAVE AT LEAST 5 FRIENDS THAT WOULD PREORDER THEIR COPIES INMEDIATELY, PLEASE SE BRING DQX TO HD CONSOLES (I DONT MINE IF X360 HAVE HIS VERSION TOO, IT WOULD BE GREAT THAT EVERYBODY COULD ENJOY THIS WONDERFULL FRANCHISE IN ALL HIS GLORY), IT WOULD SELL MILLIONS AND MILLIONS.

Cmon man. It'l sell millions and millions anyway, it's Dragon Quest

I must have said this about 5 times in other threads, but seriously, if you want a game, get the game, whatever the console. If you really want a game people need to get rid of whatever pre-set bias they have towards any company (not meaning towards you or anyone else in a hard way, just a general statement ) and just enjoy gaming again.

You'll find it's much more fun that way!

I believe He meant it will sell Millions in Japan, because it's Dragon Quest!

I almost reported you guys for trolling, but your posts need to be filthier. More effort on that shit, please.

... If Wada could have his way.

He can't, Yuji Horii fully owns the DQ license SE only have a contract to publish his games, Horii decides everything for DQ himself why do you think L5 develop the game with Armor instead of SE's own studios.

I've only played the Starry Skies on on the DS. Are they worth a deeper look at?

If that helps you sleep at night.

I just find outdated, factually incorrect Wii memes to be hilarious.

Changing sides isn't the same as backstabbing. I mean, I don't think Nintendo published DQ-DQVI anywhere.

Actually, the NES release of Dragon Quest 1 (then titled Dragon Warrior) was published by Nintendo in the US. (For that matter, so was Final Fantasy 1. Was Nintendo trying to help RPGs get a foothold over here?) Enix started publishing it themselves at DQ2. Nintendo is also the US publisher of DQ6 on the DS.

In Japan it was always called Dragon Quest from day 1, Dragon Quest was only Dragon Warrior in the US though due to the name Dragon Quest already belong to a table top RPG or something like that.

and Dragon Quest was always published by Enix in Japan.

I'm quite aware of its Japanese history, down to the password system used in DQ1 there. However, my post was in reference to the US release, which, yes, did have a name change to avoid potential copyright issues with a tabletop RPG. Same goes for the publishing deal; the post I was in response to states they were unaware of Nintendo publishing 1-6 anywhere.

The Name change was funny though because there was a Table Top RPG with the Name Dragon Warrior Believe.
