Sony factory is slow as shit, confirmed.

Sony couldn't meet the demand because they already produced more than 1 psp.

Maybe in Japan, but their have been reports for years that EBGames and other retailers have been itching to get rid of their PSP sections. PSP games just aren't selling and the hardware while it might be selling alright its not selling enough to justify the shelf space.

When NGP launches the PSP will disapear from gamestores across NA and Europe. But Japan you can still find DreamCasts on store shelves or so I've heard. Those stores will continue to sell PSP and PSP has been doing way better in Japan then elsewhere.

The PSP will be like the GameCube, when Wii launched Nintendo said they would keep supporting it. They tried but the GameCube was dropped from most stores very shortly after Wii's launch. Fact is Sony may try to keep PSP alive but without retailer support it will die pretty quickly.

I am sorry but this is getting on my nerves.

The title should be :

"Sony is currently "Struggling to meet demand in Japan" for the PSP.

I wonder their hardware sales from PSP can cover up for the software losses..

Over here in south east asia, no one ever buys a game for their PSP :-/

Just because it's selling less than the DS doesn't mean they have the difference sitting around in some warehouse.

Your right, it's sitting on store shelves in every store I've ever been in.

Consoles owned: NES, N64, PS1, GC, PS2, Wii.

Currently playing...

they would of cut production an while back now with the japanese resergence they are struggling to keep up demand.

also i would like to point out that SONY ran the PS1 for 5 years during PS2 window, and sony is still continuing ps2 now heading into its 4 year of the ps3 window. SONY will run PSP for around 3 more years.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

There are no shortages. I'm sorry Sony, I love ya and PlayStation will always be my go to brand, but that is bull shit.

Plain and simple. Every store I have gone to over the last two months has had plenty of stock on the system.
