yeah then we would get a crappy GTA every single year...
There's a simple solution to Activision destroying the gaming industry.
Don't buy their crappy games.
It's all your own fault for byuing the same CoD or Guitar Hero every year, just labelled with a different name.

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped: the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA
bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

I like the sound of that.
No, no nooooo! If this happens we can expect yearly GTA's until they kill the series. Same with Red Dead.
When i look at Activision, i dont see activision, I see the old EA, they're doing everything EA used to do. Focus on a handful of games, (which has simply turned to Call of Duty), buy up studios, destroy their franchies, rinse and repeat.
Heck, EA even tried the same thing with take-two, but take-two made it as hard as possible and EA eventually gave up.
The only difference between EA, and Activision is Blizzard, which is keeping them in the black, so i think, unlike EA, activision will continue down thier road of destruction because they think blizzard will keep them alive. But not even blizzard can save them if they keep this up
What can I say, it makes me laugh.

If you're a company that can lose money in GTAIV's fiscal year, you're poorly managed Though they might have done better since then, i haven't kept up with their financials |
They made about a $42 million profit on their latest fiscal year, which includes a few months of Red Dead Redemption and NBA 2K11. I'd say they're at least capable of standing on their own feet for a while yet.
I don't think it'd be so bad a move actually, for either side. 2k Sports already operates on an annual schedule that'd integrate perfectly, 2K Play has casual/kids brands that could be leveraged much better than they are now, and I think Rockstar would basically get the "Blizzard treatment" and be left to their own devices. Kind of win/win. Also the True Crime cancellation makes some more sense now...
