You seem to really be treating this as a console launch rather than as a peripheral.

That's because it's blatantly not following the pattern of any other peripheral in history and it's, to Microsoft, like a new console launch, that's how they're going to treat it. Surprised you need telling this tbh Khuutra.

I know Microsoft is treating it that way.

It's just that it's been out for.... how many months? We don't have enough data to determine if it's going to behave like a console long-term.

Xbox3 will come out before Kinect hit 20M.

But at this rate Kinect could hit or get close to 20 million this year. Assuming it has another great Christmas.

Hence, it will definitely hit 20 million before Xbox3.

Meh. It's late because it's after school

I've decided that in future posts I shall actually spend time READING what other people said, well, more time reading, to meet your exacting standards

Or, well any standards really

well Seece you sure are one Microsoft fan but you really are being tOOOOOOOOOO optimistic.

Pretty silly if you think your blatant will to call me a fanboy isn't noticable, I don't give a shit either. I am a Microsoft fan not a fanboy, so you're right, keep churning that line out, you got it spot on

And no I'm being realistic, you havn't got a clue about Kinect sales, you've proven that in the "Kinect adventures to reach 20 million" thread. Wishful thinking.

I have to admit, I also didn't believe that Kinect would hit the 20m mark initially but now I don't see how it won't, barring some kind of freak event in which all future software for it is shunned and totally bombs or something (not likely given the support behind it).

On topic though, with the 34m BBs already shipped and the way it continues to sell, I don't think Kinect will ever outsell it.

Aren't Kinect sales going to get a big boost when they add more language support this spring? So France, Germany, Spain, Italy, etc. will all have voice as well as movement commands.

Plus, does anyone know if they will support 1080P Streaming on Zune on the Xbox 360 in Europe?  IMO, It's much more convenient to use than Blu-ray (no forced commercials/mystery meat, finding the disc, etc.)

I like the Balance Board, but Kinect is something totally different.  I can see it selling better, cause it does more things for more games than the board.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

...so people are basing lifetime Kinect sales off of holiday sales?

That's definitely DEFINITELY not the smart thing to do.

Anyway, in answer to this:

I firmly believe 100% that there is absolutely no way that anyone in this thread (including myself) could even remotely believe that Kinect can beat Wii Fit.

the real question here is will the balance board outsell the ps3, the fight is not over yet

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Seece put it at 40%... That's more than remotely believe it would happen.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Yeah, I think Seece knows it won't happen.

Not a chance. I think it will not reach even half. Well, unless Microsoft spends another 500 million dolars in marketing.

Nintendo 3DS will make Kinects momentum slow waaay down. hehehe

Mark my wordzzzzzzzz

..you keep forgetting that even so, Wii Fit Plus keeps on selling which would add numbers to the total which means kinect will need to still catch on. Until they discontinue Wii Fit Plus and give it NO PRICE CUT, then we will talk.

Kinect sold 7.2 mill in Nov/Dec, Wii Fit did under 3 mill, and it looks like 1/3 of Wii Fit sales are standalone going by the 34 mill figure. That's being bundled. What if Nintendo stop bundling it? You think it's going to sell better next xmas? LOL

The only thing selling better next xmas is Kinect.

You seem to really be treating this as a console launch rather than as a peripheral.

The same was done with the launch of the Balance board, however, and look how that's sold...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
