PS3 SW is up 25% YOY and I would assume 360 is up noticeably as well but overall SW is down 5%. Everything else must have done pretty poorly.

It's not hard to imagine 360 software being down since ME2 launched in the same month last year.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

I put up Wii / PS3 figures in the article.

From that, and with X360 figures, was able to estimate DS.

Check the front page for more info.

So...

DS overtracked 3k (estimate)
PS3 overtracked 10k
360 overtracked 22k
Wii overtracked 52k

DC Universe Online undertracked  10k
LittleBigPlanet 2 undertracked 18k

VGC made a good job this time.

we only know 360 number, who know others over/undertracked how much

PS3 - 267,000
Wii - 320,000

TheSource said "Wii and PS3 figures for January have surfaced in Japanese articles covering the industry."

never heard about it

whatever

So first VGC article estimated 360 to be around 481,000 which was way overtracked. If we divide this by the 4 weeks of January, then it is 25,000 per week. Which means that 360 was third behind Wii and PS3 in every week world wide.

It looks like 360 is selling 20-30 K more than the PS3, and not double as per vgchartz latest numbers including this month.

So the 360 is actually only 20k overtracked after those recent adjustments?

Not bad

Not bad at all.  Within margin of error.  Considering NPD are still estimates as well, hopefully this brings an end to all of the ripping of the site's tracking estimates.

Of course if the PS3 is overtracked by more than 10%, does that mean we're going to have to endure 3 months of "just wait until shipment numbers"?  Please God no ...

They are within margin of error only because they were adjusted a day or two ago. Look at the first post theSource did.

Why should a japanese site have a really expensive NPD Sub? Makes no sense and I don't see the numbers anywhere else.
