Yeah because they didn't want a Wii version in the first place (too much $$$ spent already on the Ps3, xbox, and PC versions).

Even though a Wii version would have the support of the sales of RE4. So it would be worth that extra money.

Well the way I see it now, It would be just like the Call of Duty games. The xbox and PS version would sell more because they want the "best" version of the game, not a downgraded port.

But selling a million would still be more money. Plus when more games are put on the Wii, people would notice that there are games on the Wii worth buying, since there actually would be more games like this on the Wii. It's supply constricting demand, not lack of demand.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Yeah you're right about selling that extra million would help make more games like it on the Wii. I'm just surprised there haven't really been any since Resident evil 4 sold a very good amount for a game that was ported so many times :/ Why aren't there any games like it anymore? I wonder...

Stubbornness and stupidity seem the most likely culprits. And that's not a new thing among businesses when faced with admitting they were wrong. Or people in any situation.

this kind of news is absolutely useless without a video.

my laptop runs Crysis too, albit 1 frame per second.

Yeah, I'm sure Capcom would totally have brought it up if what they had running on the 3DS was awful...

Anyway, I wonder how many multiplatform gaming sites will pick up on this.

To be honest with you I just played through half of RE5 because the downgraded controls comparing the RE4 Wii were frustrating to say the least.

I'm afraid if 3DS Resident Evil won't have touch controls for aiming, it will return pretty much to the old classic scheme like gamecube, I don't know if I'll like that again. Thats why I'm not much hyped for 3Ds Resident Evils.

He was likely talking about Mercs 3D and/or Revelations.  The early trailer for Revelations used RE5 models which have since been replaced.

...and RE5 would never run on Wii.  Any talk of such is seperated from reality.

Really? Were did you learn that.

And of course RE5 would run on the Wii. Its RE4 with different areas and shinny graphics. Everything can be downgraded, and RE5 is not an exception.

It would even run on a DS, if they wanted.

I doubt it was running the same exact one.  He said "a version" of RE 5.  That seems like a bit of a stretch.

Nintendo handhelds can always do things Nintendo consoles can't. Hasn't anyone paid attention to third parties at all in the past 15 years?

You're right. Nintendo handhelds are just so cool to developers.

even with downgraded grafix it will still look mint because of smaller screen. RE5 is an excellent game anyways they should release it

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

If you cannot see more than that you have no hope.

I've played the game dude... I'm sorry if my opinion is not the same as yours. Only the co-op adds some freshness, but I couldn't play it. The game feels like an expansion to RE4 not that it implies that it isn't a good game, because it is.

I just didn't played through it all (I abandoned it at some ruins with a solar beam) because as I said I'm used to pointer controls now, so getting back to the old 2 analog setting is a let down to me.
