This is wrong, Capcom USA reps confirmed The Mercenaries 3D was a summer game.

Thanks for the clarification on RE: Mercenaries; I wasn't under the impression that it was a launch release and was surprised to see it show up on the list.

I may end up just looking at those unopened 3DS boxes until summer as I did my pre-orders in the event that I can't find one when I want one, but none of the initial titles are anything I'd pay $50 for just to play with the 3D effects. SSFIV would be had I ever enjoyed SF games on handheld, but it hasn't happened yet.

That's why it's great that the 3DS has DS backwards compatibility. Even if you only buy one game you can still play all your DS games as well! There's also the VC, which should have older portable games available.

The Japanese launch line-up is a bit sparse for my tastes, so I'm only getting the new Layton when I get my 3DS at launch. There will be more games coming out shortly though, so I don't mind waiting a bit for new games. I still have a lot of DS games I need to play as well, which I can play on my DSi or on the 3DS.
