Forums - General Discussion - Cyclone Yasi - North-eastern Australia

So 'the biggest cyclone Australia has ever seen' is a few hundred kilometers off the coast of Queensland - the state that was recently devestated by catastrophic flooding.

-It has been upgraded to a category 5
-Winds of up to 320km/h
-Cyclone is over 500km wide
-tsunami like storm surge expected
-set to hit about 10 hours from now

Here is a radar showing the storm:

Its been a pretty tough month or so, in terms of natural disasters in Australia. This will be devestating by the looks of it.

Any members on here near northern Queensland?
