Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS3 vs Wii - Which actually has the best graphics?

i stand corrected, having looked at more 3DS gameplay vids, it is clear that the3ds has much better graphics though not as much as one would expect from a new generation (some psp games do come close to the worst 3ds games)

lol @ all the people saying rol would'vedone a better job.

Judge a troll thread not by how elegant it is, but by how many fall for it.

I deem this thread a success

PS3?

I'm too lazy to check what that is on google. Wii might be better, everyone has one, so I think you can't go wrong!!!

Wii is obviously better. Anyone but a fanboy will tell you this.

Not even the graphics on PC can compare to the powerful hardware that the Wii posseses and anyone who says other-wise is a disgusting fanboy.

This thread is delivering the goods.

But you can't really compare a movie playing system against a video game playing system anyway.

The Wii plays movies?

Well... both actually do both. The Wii and PS3 both have Netflix, and both play games, so...

I really want to know this because some PS3 games look awful compared to some Wii games and to other PS3 games. Is this just the developers fault? I heard the PS3 has shaders (if anyone could eleborate). Thus far the best looking games for the PS3 and Wii respectively are GT5 and Mario Galaxy 2.

Sorry i fell for the bait. Couldn't help myself =/

on a serious note though...it depends on the art direction, time and effort put into some games.  I have the VD-W3 and it does wonders (despite what others say) for the Wii compared to component cables I had from Monster.  Some games can definetly give the PS3 a run for it's money in terms of style.  Of course PS3 will always have more polys and a native 720P or 1080P resolution; but an upscaled DKC:R and SMG isn't a slacker either.  MH:Tri, RS2, Metroids and Kirby shows what the sysem can really do.  While NMH, Madworld, Muramasa and Fragile shows how art direction can even things out a bit.
