Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3DS Games list from Gamestop

All of these are, of course, subject to change and might be Gamestop just generalizing. Like DoA: Dimensions coming out nearly two weeks before launch. WTF?

Power to the player? Seriously gamestop just guesses randomly, sometimes based on no logic.

Looks like most devs are going with the $40 pricetag rather than the $50 (the two that do have it at $50 may come to regret that considering Nintendo titles aren't even that high).  Really software pricing amongst competition can become quite the rivalry.  This might be setting the stage of almost all 3DS games coming out at this pricetag (similarly to how most DS games come out at $30 rather than $35).

That would be great for us consumers.  Would be quite happy for the majority of the games to be that price, although I do expect that come the end of the year the "higher budget" games (Nintendo and big 3rd party games) will almost all take the higher pricetag.

Still not entirely sure though what games I'll buy at launch.  Maybe Steel Driver or SSIV 3D.

June 2nd is overly packed with 1st party titles.  After Nintendo stating they plan to spread the releases out more evenly, this smells of speculative dating.

Exactly. Also Nintendo's plan to improve 3rd party sales would be blown. No way could any third parties sell software during June or near after if Nintendo released all that fire power at once. Notice the launch titles are similiar to Japan, this is GameStop just speculating and putting in dates so pre-orders can start.

It's all speculation. The only reason those 2 titles are $50 is because they are the most expensive in Japan. They will most likely all be $40.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. I've seen the odd DS game going for 49.99$. It all depends on demand and the cost of development. If the publisher can make enough profit off of 40$ then the game will be 39.99$ but if the game is really expensive to develop and theirs high demand then making it 50$ sounds reasonable.

Though I am hoping for 39.99$, but look at Wii games , 3DS games use all the same power and would likely cost just as much if not more to develop. Yet most Wii games cost 49.99$. My bet is that the price range will actually be 39.99-49.99$.

Ok, let's see:

- March 15 is just a placeholder date, obviously. These games will release sometime in march but they don't know when. Also they priced the games high as possible to avoid angry customers ("But you said it would be 40$").

- April 2 are all Ubisoft games so either they don't know Ubisofts US release dates yet or these titles will be pushed to Q2 in America.

- June 2 is also a placeholder date for Nintendo games released later than "early June" (that's what they said at their press conference).

Other dates are either guesses or preliminary dates that are still subject to change.

Gamestop is so clever

Edit: Having Pilotwings for launch would be amazing. I've been waiting for a release date ever since its announcement.

won't belive it till nintendo say so.

That really sucks.. It won't have any good games until June... or they will delay OoT and Kid Icarus until the holidays. Oh well.. I'll still buy the 3DS at launch even without any games.
