Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3DS preordered and paid in full, who else is with me?

That's half Sony's fault and half users' fault. Sony could do better with its cooling, but it'll last far longer if you take the time to vacuum it and replace the anti-heat paste or whatever its called. It's nowhere near as bad as the v1,2,3,4,12 PS2 or early 360's.

But yeah, you can trust Nintendo hardware (can't say the same about post-saturn SEGA).

Eh I never got to invest in a Dreamcast, but the people I know with Dreamcasts, their systems are still functioning and the Dreamcast was only out for what 2 years?  So a majority of them are launch year systems, it's taken Microsoft longer than the Dreamcasts lifespan to fix issues, Sony usually gets it fixed within 1 to 2 internal hardware revisions.  I remember the old fix for PS2 DRE that was a big issue, X-Play had instructions on how to do it.

I pre-ordered 2 3DS units from amazon (you can pre-order 2 if you get 1 of each color).

I still may cancel both pre-orders.  I am currently trying to see some indication that pre-orders will sell out and the 3DS will be in short supply.

Personally, I don't need a 3DS yet.  There are enough good DS games coming in 2011 to keep me busy.

I will be more interested in a 3DS once a new Mario game is released.

Not sure if it will sell out, looking at least at the various Amazons, it's no longer no. 1 in any of those I checked (US, UK and Japan). Then again, did it get any advertising yet outside of the hardcore crowd? Maybe in Japan, but I don't think elsewhere. Also, we still have 2 months to go...

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

It is better to order it online. I got a couple of orders and only have to pay the week before it is released. I also have the added bonus of not standing in a line with a lot of weirdos. I still don't see why people do that.

I've pre-ordered, just not paid in full for it.Still, I won't be pulling my hair out on release day now

Same for me.

Is it just me or are days passing slower ever since I preordered? :P

I preordered on amazon. I just gotta put some money into my account so i can pay it when they ship it.

I will preorder it tomorrow at gamestop and pay them 5 Euro in advance. I hope that's enough to not get screwed over on launch day. I'll be trading in my DSi to get 90 bucks off though so that sounds like a good deal

I was going to Pre-Order and sell it on eBay but I don't feel like it. I just have a feeling that the 3DS isn't going to be as popular as the DS. Glad for you though. I'll eventually get one. All they need is an FF game and i'll buy it.

thats what im hanging out for

Isn't Kingdom Hearts effectively gonna do this though?

Also, pre-ordered and paid £10 deposit. Waiting to check the price before doing anything else, but I've got it now, at least

I won't buy it now. I was thinking of getting it day one by the region-lock thing changed everything. I have to get a Japanese 3DS to get the good games first and so as not to miss any (the Last Story showed once more that Nintendo doesn't care one bit about western fans). I'll wait until my trip to Japan (in september) to get one (10% less costly thanks to euro/yen parity).

We don't know anything about that yet man...

Although, I agree they shouldn't be region-locked, but it's no biggy for me!
