Forums - Gaming Discussion - THQ: Games will cost $100 on average next console generation

I'm done after this gen anyways.

Around the Network

games are 80-120 dollars in australia and were currently at parity with the us dollar

damn i'm gonna have to start supporting piracy if it's 100 dollars per game!

And I care why? Never bought a THQ game, probably never will.

look at all these americans complaining alot of countries around the world already pay that. they get everything so cheap just because there mass market

Look into your tax system for why you pay more. Also look at your min wage etc. Our prices also do not have tax included already. If you want to pay less, don't let the governement tax you or your businesses so much.

meh... we pay $120-$150 for games in NZ when they should really be only $80-$90

guys sadly this is the truth and THQ wont be the only one, Activsion will storm in first up and up the price. But guys I have been paying that much for Years now in Australia. I worry that if that happens i will be paying 200 dollars. yea that will suck

You should stop putting up with EB Prices and import every Game.

Lol, I've been paying that or more for my games for over twenty years!

Honestly ..What is so fun about it =p.?

People whining over the thought of such "high" prices is what is funny.

Heck, a new DVD still costs over 30$ over here!

There is about £30 difference($45) between a new DVD release and a game release, I think this is as high as it will go, unless companies want more people to resort to piracy, if not downloading themselves, then buying games illegaly like is the case with DVD's now.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
