GT5 adjusted up in Americas. Now shows almost 600k first week. I'm not complaining. :D

Can I get a link to these Canadian numbers that caused the adjustment?

GT5 had a pretty significant adjustment week 1 in the Americas (over 100,000). It did 2.3 mill week 1 WW (closer to my original 2.5million prediction).

Adjustment is for Canadian sales. It sold a rather insane 170k first week. Also it would seem that week 3 was adjusted up about 30k as well. I think that's because that's the week the game launched in South America.

Hardware tie but 360 slightly beats PS3 with about 200k more in software sales.

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.

Those PS3 numbers in the states...it's the one missing key from ensuring second place in weekly sales.

Still, overall it's a tie, and I'm happy for every console.

What could Sony do?? they dont have half a billion to spend like Microsoft did. at least PS3 is competively doing well despite the price and marketing advantages of the other 2 home consoles.

PS3 sure did flop in America overall. By the time a Xbox 3 and PS4 come out, PS4 wont even stand a chance.

People were saying the same thing about the Wii.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

So wait... according to NPD, GT5's first month in Canada = Forza 3's first month in North America?

That is up to Sony to figure out. I still think they'll have a great year. All these game releases, and a price cut (if they can afford it) would ensure healthy US sales.

Very impressed with Xbox 360 and Kinect, I never thought it would have such an impact.

Next week PS3 could be first for both hw and sw, with Mass Effect 2, Little Big Planet 2 and in some regions DC Universe Onlie launching this week.

Not sure about the timing though as the end of January will mean an empty wallet for many, atleast where I come from...

It seems Kinect has in fact made a difference... awesome. Gonna kill it all year I think.
