Any one ever come across this issue or know how to fix it?

So I downloaded the Burn-out paradise demo, and when it loaded, there's no sound.  So I thought it was a bad file and deleted it, downloaded it again.  Again, no sound.  My PS3 page menus and the loading part with the "Playstation3" logo all have sound.  But as soon as it enters the game, the sound dissappears.  I deleted the file once again and decided while I download it for the third time, I'll play GT5 demo.  That one had sound but when I tried playing it yesterday, the sound is gone too!!!!  Then I checked all my other demos and all ther sounds stopped working.  Trailers under videos still work fine, so what's going on??? The PS3 is only less than 3 months old!!!!

Just the demos? That's wierd, never happens to me, although I should check and see if mine is doing the same.

Yup. Just the demos. I haven't tried real game disc yet. It was pissing me off yesterday. So who's MikeB? Is he in this forum? Thanks.

If all the settings and cables are fine, try updating the system with the latest firmware update. In the past there have been very sporadic incidents with regard to some games with a firmware from the past.

New firmware update is out tomorrow so hopefully that'll refresh your system?

I'll give it a try tomorrow. I had the latest firmware already when this happened and this no sound thing only started happening after I downloaded and installed Burn-out. Maybe there is a software glich in the burnout demo? Hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow with the newest firmware! Thx!

Grimlins. They are notorious for not liking demos.

never happened to me, mines 10 months old. only problem i've had is the system freezing when I play Oblivion. Other games RARELY freeze.
