I think you are wrong...3D will not make a game graphics better...But hey I could be wrong =p..

After doing some research, it turns out that 3DS game can look better if the devs decide to not use 3D. They can use the extra resources for more texture passes and more complex geometry. I still think the 3D effect is very key for some games and they shouldn't really be judged solely on screenshots though. 3DS games just seem like you need to actually be holding the system before making a real judgement.

That's doesn't really need much research.

If you are doing 3D you either have to render twice the number of frames (2 frames where one is display for one eye and second frame for second eye) - which is Nvidia 3d solution. Or in case of 3DS you have to render same number of FPS but at twice the vertical resolution.

While I haven't done exhaustive research, the PSP was roughly as powerful as the Dreamcast while the 3DS seems to be producing games similar to the Gamecube while supporting 3D ...

In one sense I would agree with you, and in another I would say that the 3DS is substantially more than a PSP with 3D.

No no no, screens are needed (or at least demanded by the responders) only when someone is making a negative thread about PS3 graphics or 360 graphics, you don't need screens (or even to try to explain what you are talking about...) when you talk down on any Nintendo system . Some people here are clearly not able to estimate the quality of graphics.

Reminds me to N64 days, some thought and still think that the PS1 had better graphics, judged on the basis of screenshots.

I would bet that the majority of graphic **** wouldn't notice if you change their PS3 with a XB360. Or change the output from their XB360 from 1080 to 740-upscaled (i think it's done in some games for BOTH HD systems).

And the comparison of handheld graphic with homeconsole graphic diplayed on the computer screen doesn't make it better, not even speaking of 3d here.

I will judge the graphics, holding the 3DS in my hands. And by the way graphics are overrated.
