Forums - Gaming Discussion - IGN gave Mass Effect 2 a 9.6 on 360 and a 9.5 on the PS3...why?

Because the PS3 version looks a bit better, comes with free DLC and it only ships on one disc. The 360 version is superior because you get to stretch everytime you need to change a disc lol. Nah as people said, they changed there review process

Mass Effect 1 events (mostly in the forms of side missions) effect Mass Effect 2 in small ways, but it still adds to the overall game, and make it much better.

No. It just a plus and don't make the game best or worst after all... most people I talk said they played without using the first save game.

The ability to play the trilogy from begining to end either on the PC or 360 is superior to only being able to play 2 of the 3 games on the PS3...

You aren't really trying to argue otherwise...are you?

Yeah... the late port Mass Effect 2 is better on PS3... that's the only fact here.

You want to add Mass Effect 1 to Mass Effect 2 to make it a better game on PC or 360...  but that's not change the fact Mass Effect 2 is better on PS3.

I can play Mass Effect 1 on PC (the best version)... and so play Mass Effect 2 on PS3 (the best version). I didn't need to play all trilogy do make a game better... I can just play the best version of Mass Effect 3 (PC?).

So if Uncharted 3 come to PC with better graphics and some new features... the Uncharted 3 on PS3 will be a better game just because it have Uncharted 1 & 2 too? Bullshit... that's just a bad excuse.

It would be if Uncharted 1&2 effected 3 in some way. Like the actual Save Data. <.<
You honestly don't seem to understand on save data effects each game.

Believe what you want, but trust me most Mass Effect fans would tell you the same, it is those little things that make Mass Effect 2 even greater. Conrad Vernor, etc, but than again whats the point of arguing with you, when you generally have one sided view towards everything.

It's actually a tenth of a point. Sad, right?

are you really bitching over .01?

I'm glad everybody else could clear this "scandal" up for us though.

off topic: EA better release a GOTY edition with all DLC at a fair price for xbox or pc. And the ps3 version being the definitive?... I guess in terms of just comparing the two games themselves, sure. But the reviewer may not have factored that the whole experience will be alot more epic on the xbox 360 & PC. I certainly plan on play all three games in a row come next november, certainly a motion comic or whatever would detract from it. I mean, if the LOTR or star wars movies(orig. trilogy)  just had the last two movies and only gave you a little summary about the first one, it wouldn't work nearly as well.

You complain about him bitching, but then you enter bitch mode......

@OP If you read the full review you wouldn't have made this thread. This was the main reason why IGN changed their scoring system.

Oh yes let's have a deathmatch because you can't stand any opinions about sony that can be remotely construed as negative. I'm a Mass Effect fan, and I like to talk about Mass Effect.. So you need to get over yourself.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Being a fan is fine. Being bitchy isn't. You and the OP are both complaining about unnecessary things. And where did "deathmatch" come into this? Why u mad?

I am the Playstation Avenger.
