New PS3 custom firmware bricking 60 GB consoles

The PS3 jailbreak fallout just keeps on coming, with the latest incident serving to demonstrate how careful gamers must be when they try to mess with their systems. A new custom firmware has been released, and it's bricking 60 GB consoles left and right. Oh dear.

Custom firmware v3.55 has killed quite a few launch PS3s as people rushed to "back up" (lol) their games without waiting to see if the thing actually works. Even when it was discovered that the firmware is utterly broken, people were still bricking their consoles because they weren't reading whole forum threads.

This should serve as a warning to all people who want to "back up" (lol) their games using custom firmware. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread, and idiots brick their PS3s where rational people wait for the morons to screw up. In other words ... be careful!

I debated posting this because I would rather not warn people and let them be stupid and brick their consoles but I couldn't resist because of the picture and the random lol thrown in after "back up."

Lies! Your bias shines like a beacon.

We all know you just didn't want a big amount of PS3's bricking, thus potentially increasing PS3 sales.

In all seriousness though it is always best to wait for the idiots to brick their consoles first, thus helping to figure out what the problems are and insuring you get a more functional and stable CFW,

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Lol. You need to be really careful with this stuff.

lol

you know what is an good idea for SONY to do is to make an tonne of those bricking software and partner with google and create number one easy to download hacking sites full of dummy links and keep changing the sites over and over and make it so that when gamers go to do this they have to watch out which ones are fake and whats real and beware of getting bricked.

Then many wont risk it but the serious hackers. Basically make it hard for joe-blow to do the pirating.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

I like your idea.

#His firmware update doesn't seem quite proper#
#And now his plans are all coming a-croper.#

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?
