Because the Wii sold over 18 Million units last year without a re-invention, would be my guess.

Vitality Sensor, Wii Motion Plus? Wernt/arnt these suppose to be big? ....

Because all you get when you try that with a console is market-splitting. Add-ons and peripherals tend to do the job better than rebuilding the device itself

Nintendo could if they really wanted to but is it really necessary, the wii outsold them both when they received a redesign, its honestly probably just selling to well for nintendo to see a need and they probably wont need one this year to outsell them in every territory, i think we're gonna see the vitality sensor very soon and what it can do.

I don't think the Wii needs a whole upgrade but maybe an expansion pack like the N64 had would be ok.

I would rather have the Vitality Sensor...both would be nice too but if I had to pick one I would go with V.S.

Maybe a couple of small upgrades. Adding HD support would a good start. I understood Nintendo's reasoning back in 2006 but now it should have more than just 480p.

Reasons why handhelds can do this and not consoles is that people tend to burn through handhelds a lot faster so the rebuy rate is a lot higher. What  Imean is how many kids drop and break their handhelds over the course of a few years and need a new one. Consoles for the most part stay in 1 spot for most of their life and are not prone too travel damage
