It might be the best looking game on Wii but it is still graphically unimpressive for me. Calling it graphically impressive would feel too wrong. :P

I loved 2 minutes 36 seconds of that video...Glad they paid homage to other great games. 2010 was a great year for video games.

Oh man, that was a great vid, hahaa.  I could see how it would make some mad, though, because they're overly thenthitive.

I haven't played a ton of games this year, but I can speak on ME2.  I've played through it 3 times (most recently on Insanity) and for people like me that have seen so many angles of what the game offers and how RPG strategic the game becomes on higher difficulties (seriously, unless you've done and seen you have no idea) UNDERSTAND why this game has won the most 2010 Game of the Year votes.

I sure hope that ME3 can live up to this and (by balancing strengths of both games) exceed it.  It's that good.

It doesn't matter, SMG or SMG2 might be the highest rated on each site, but still won't be GOTY for number of reasons. The most easiest is to say ratings and reviews means nothing to GOTY system. 

Personally I am just glad Red Dead didn't win and Mass Effect 2 won (because I had feeling SMG2 wouldn't win).

im saying that a review website woudnt concsider a game that didnt have a really good score for game of the year. But someone said ratings and reviews mean nothing for goty and i dont agree. im also not saying the highest rated should be the overall best.


So why give out 10s? I always get annoyed by that, giving a game 10, but it not being GOTY. I am just saying review system doesn't seem to play into the decision, more like it is a voted system of which game "deserves" it. In all likely hood the game would be 9 or that would just be sad.

Of course SMG2 doesn't win. Even though it is the first Wii game to receive a perfect score and was the best rated game, both in general and on IGN, of 2010. ME2 wins. Because it is a cinematic HD experience. Of course.

ME2 won because it was a better game according to majority of the IGN review staff.

Problem is, you're also looking at it from a technical perspective only.
