Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Could the Everybody's Nintendo Channel and Wiiware lead to insane sales for Wii games??

This channel is like Xbox Video Marketplace where you can watch trailers and download ds demos. I know that we are all familliar with this on PSN and XBL, but casuals aren't?! So once more casuals now about this channel they will flock to the Wii!! ( also keep in mind that Wiiware channels may also be hyped on this channel. Wiiware will rival PSN and Live Arcade!!)

Damn things have changed since 2009 began. Here are my new visions for the end of the generation.

Wii: 135 mil

Ps3: 85 mil

360: 60 mil

this is speculation. but think for a moment? bad 360 games (there aren't many) are already near 1 million! (take viva pinata for example? some may not agree with me.) this will help nintendo push software in different genres that casuals are now starting to understand! (even if some games shown on the channel are bad. (viva pinata)!

how is this speculation he's asking a question. This questions is no where near speculations, he asked COULD WII WARE AND NINTENDO CHANNEL LEAD TO A SURPLUS OF WII SALES. Typical answers are yes no or maybe and than why. I think there's a possibility if this is marketed right. It's not like he said it will move 5-10 million wii's.

THAT IS MY ANSWER ON THIS QUESTION

I don't think so. Truly casual gamers are probably less likely to use the new channels much, while the classic gamers typically have many venues that they already use to learn about up coming and recently released games. Not to say there will not be a bump - there will be (though that's bound to happen anyway as Nintendo will have increased it's base by 50% since August), but not enough to call it "insane".

Yes but alot of them have DS systems and turning the Wii into a download station will certainly lead to increased DS game sales. That one is a no brainer.

from those things?

insane sales, no. some sales, yes.

yes, this would be one of the best ways for casuals to find out about good games.

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

No, I doubt most casuals are actually going to plug their Wii into the internet much if at all.
