It almost sounded believeable, except that friend codes would not be the first thing an analyst would mention, and "Normally I wouldn't jump to conclusions, but in Nintendo's case I gladly make an exception" lol

This is what I would love to say to that analyst....

LOL at an analyst downgrading the 3DS because it does not have achievments for those of us with a mild dose of obsessive-compulsive personality disorder to have great angst over.

The region locking will lead to piracy as there will inevitably be some Japanese games those of us in the West must absolutely have at any cost to play. Nintendo should re-evaluate this.

If I can play the 3DS with it's charger is plugged into a wall, then my concerns over it's battery life are minute. I can see the point, but it is really picking at straws.

Lastly, the lack of it being a multi-functional device has a lot of validity. The DS and PSP released in the infancy of cell phone gaming. Nowadays with Apple, Google, Microsoft and other companies creating mini laptops called smart phones, I could see sales suffering due to the lack of other functions for the 3DS.

Lack of achievement system isn't a dealbreaker and could come in a firmware update like Trophies did. Region locking and friend codes are absolute bullshit though. And that battery life is pathetic if accurate. The launch lineup is weak and the price is worrying too.

I won't be buying one at launch anymore.
