Okay lets say this is true and google tv does come to the PS3 

am i the only one wondering how this will friggen work! 

How will it be connected to the playstation?

what will we need for it? 

How will it be intergraded into the playsstation? Example an App

 Google TV would be a great to the PS3 and would probably sell a few PS3. True Google probably would not offer it to MS because of competition between the companies.  But even if it was offered I doubt MS would want a program like this on their console. It seems to me that MS has always been against having a browser on the 360 and now has set up Live features to circumvent the fact that they don't have this now basic feature( I have Rss feeds on my PSP). I have serious doubts that the next Xbox will have a browser.



 Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move,  and Kinect.

Exactly.  Google might be wanting to compete with MS in a broader way than just with phone OS..... they may want to dip their toes into competing with windows for PCs as well, even if not, they are already competing so i wouldn't think that google would want to offer this on the 360


google already has laptops in the works, they've been sending out beta versions of their laptops since a little bit before the end of last year.

but anyways, back on topic, the ps3 might not be the only one getting google tv, but NGP has a pretty good chance of getting google tv also. earlier in the month there was an interview with kaz hirai and he said.. well... ill paste it ->

"If the use of the "Sony Internet TV Powered by Google TV (Google TV)" spreads and its sales volume increases, we might provide the PSS to its users, too. Also, we might provide the PSS as a killer application to spread the use of the Google TV."

putting emphasis on the last part, kaz was saying that sony might spread google tv by entering it into the PSS, which would be available on android based devices, (NGP runs android)
