PS3 - over 8 mln., max 8,5.
x360 - around 16 mln.

But how that has any effect in gaming market?

EDIT: oh yeah, next week - 7,7 mln. ps3 and 15,2 mln. x360.

i'm not really sure what numbers you're looking at but on the front page i'm seeing: ps3-7.19M 360-16.29M

ps3 needs gain about 1M on the 360 to reach the 50% mark. I'd guess late december/early january.

HAHA!

Actually it's:

Wii -16.29M

360 -14.56M

PS3 -7.19M

I think it's you that's having trouble reading.

okay, yeah i did read wrong.  my bad lol.

PS3 would have to take a mighty sales dive (drop by 120k units) or Xbox360 would have to have a massive sales leap (increase by 300k units) in order for it not to happen this week.

A more interesting question is when will PS3 hit half of Wiis numbers?

PS3 = half Wii sales based on average sales from:

Last 4 weeks: 25 weeks from now

Last 12 weeks: 52 weeks from now

Last 26 and 52 weeks: never

i agree with the original poster, end of 2007 it should be half.

p.s. from what ive seen, eugene is gonna flame this thread like an arsonist with a flamethrower in a napalm factory.

All in all your just another brick in the wall.

It already did (360 is over tracked for France and NA while ps3 is under tracked in France/EU) but since the data is not adjusted yet it will be this week.

It will be fun to see when the data gets adjusted after Christmas... PS3 will suddenly gain 500k against the 360, rofl

Optimistic predictions for 2008 (Feb 5 2008): Wii = 20M, PS3 = 14M, X360 = 9.5M

thank you for that analysis. Looks like the PS3 benifited from holiday sales and lack of Wiis. We may have to wait until early next year to get a clearer picture of how they stand relative to each other =)

All I ever see of rickytan is a blanked-out post and *banned*.

I am LOLing right now and very nearly ROFLed.

Also, last week of 2007 or first week of 2008. My money's on '07.

Lastly: New theme song for PS3 -- "You got to admit, it's gettin' better -- gettin' better all the time."
