There's been a thread like this a while back, but times have changed...

I really can't think of anything I'd do actually. They seem to have gotten their marketing up to acceptable levels. I don't know, I guess I would make sure the PS4 had a slew of games releasing early in it's lifetime I guess.

I really don't know, I'm more interested in other people's opinions.

 

And don't say something like  "buy Nintendo" because it's not funny.

And just because I said don't say it, that doesn't mean you should say because it would be funny. Because it won't be.

I would buy Nintendo.

 

Seriously though, i would do nothing but add better online features and make sure the psp2 shits on the 3DS by making the hardware super cheap and even easier to develop for. It obvious that strong hardware just does not matter when it comes to market share.

Edit: Oh and i would make sucker punch give me a new level in infamous 2 every week. And i mean even after the game comes out......

fire their US marketing team and hire the same one Apple uses. Forget about the PSP name brand, create a brand new one.

Advertise better. Support there products for longer on the software side. Not use Sharp Panels for there LCD TVs. Start making Plasma TVs again. Integrate there devices and make a unified software suite.

I'd abort the PS4 and PSP2 then let the PS3 and PSP phase out when they start to lose significant market share/become unprofitable. Then I'd focus on producing a cheap high end smart phone to win market-share.

The games division was always more about Sony aiming more for increased high tech. market share and unfortunately for Sony the big growth has been in MP3 players followed by tablets and smart phones where they haven't done nearly as well. Since they've lost most of their market-share why continue dumping money into the games division?
