I don't think that Nintendo needs to worry about it

Nintendo should work with Ubisoft to make Just Dance 3 bundled with a motion cam. The motion cam doesn't have to be as high tech as Kinect it just needs to enhance gameplay of Just Dance 3. They can sell it for less than $100.  It will sell millions and it potentially undermine interest for Kinect.

Nintendo is doing fine. Microsoft is doing fine.

Everyone be happy.

Kinect success hasnt affected Wii sales at all, seems like there's no need for Nintendo to be concerned about it.

Kinect will have a very small impact on Nintendo at best.

Hardware-wise, casual gamers are unlikely to buy several consoles. And they either already have a Wii, or if they don't they are still more likely to buy a Wii because it will stay the king of casual games.

Software-wise, Nintendo doesn't have to worry much either. Most Wii games that sell well don't even work properly with Kinect due to the device's limitations - for example NSMB, Mario Kart, SSBB, Mario Galaxy, Zelda... The only successful Nintendo games I can think of that could be copied for Kinect are Wii Sports (Resort), Wii Fit and Wii/Mario Party. Kinect might have a small impact on sales for those games, but that's about it.

I think it's more likely that Kinect will be losing much of its steam. Even the analysts expected that Kinect will start with massive sales, and that 2011 will show what's really behind the hype, when the initial fascination has worn off and people want to see good games for it.

Nintendo should just mind their own business.

i agree

If Nintendo beat Microsoft this December which right now it seem they did! They need to keep on doing what they been doing! Even if the 360 barely beat them like in Nov. Nintendo should just stay the course. Only if the 360 totally owned them this December should they alter their plans!

The Wii is just fine. That's not what they have to worry about. Microsoft has established itself with the casuals now and has all the money in the world at their disposal. If the next Xbox beats Wii 2 to the market Nintendo WILL be hurt, just like Sony this gen.

I had my doubts about Kinect until my lil brother got one. I played it and had bags of fun (I really liked Dance central. what a work out). With that being said i am not too sure the Kinect is taking away sales from Nintendo, maybe a little bit in America I don't know, though the Wii si still selling very well. What we need to see like a poster said earlier is compelling software for the Kinect, that's what is going to keep it and the xbox selling at high levels, they need to carry on the momentum, or sales will fall hard. All nintendo can do to counteract this is to release compelling software of its own for the wii.

Though i will agree with the fact Nintendo dropped the ball when it came to motion plus software. That should have been released all last year. One of my biggest fears is Nintendo slow down support for the Wii in favour of the 3ds.
