Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

^thats what all gamers should do and go for all the good games

I sometimes buy PC games , but usually budget ones , and small titles . Since the PSone era the only games that Im buying , or consoles are made by Sony . All the electronics I purchase ( except the ones I get as a gift ) are Sony brand ... so yeah , Im in big part a Sony fan . Though I admit I allways try what the enemy has in hand :P

Neos : if you never tryed a Sony product before , no wonder that you stick with Nintendo :P Seriously , how the hell can you even say an opinion about Sony , if you dont even know what your talking about ?

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Im loyal to sony, I used to be a ninty freak but the psp rocks.

Not intending to offend anyone, but of course not!!! Gaming is for fun and entertainment OF ALL SORTS! I own NEARLY every console all the way back to oldschool Atari. (And realize not everyone can afford to do that--that's cool and understandable--doesn't make them a fanboy, just a buddy of unfortunate circumstances). But that doesn't mean that the "other" console doesn't have it's own strengths and even "superior" features. Lol, MS, Sony, & Nintendo don't honestly give a shit about you and your foolish, diehard, fanboyism--their allegiance is to the #'s & $$$. I choose to put the fanboy patheticness behind me and enjoy EVERY unique feature and IP of each console-- whether it's the casual party/family gaming of the wii, its more reasonable costs, its unique games, & rich tradition...OR Microsofts killer FPS line-up, amazing LIVE features, ease of use, and online gaming...OR Sony's killer RPG family, cutting edge technology, HD/Blu-ray movies, and huge library of games. Sorry to offend, but I'd die if I was naieve enough to not support all three. Long ago I was somewhat of a fanboy but found out what I was missing out on. Each offers a unique and fun entertainment experience...AND THAT IS WHAT A TRUE GAMER CARES ABOUT...not a wannabe forum fanboy.

Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)

@Kyros: You understood my point, as expected. You're right about the "shallow story" in most Nintendo games, basically Zelda and maybe Fire Emblem (haven't played Fire Emblem, so i don't know) are the only series, that give you the story. Oh, and Paper Mario. But as from gaming aspect, story is secondary. And how many people want a story to a racing game or sports game? Why should a platformer need one? The usual story in Nintendos games is just giving a context for the events, or a frame for them. The stories do not try to explain themselves, in which they are successful.

@Yojimbo: I live in reality. Obviously you didn't understand my point. Name the better games, each gen, than the Nintendo ones.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

I am loyal to good games.

Nintendo just happens to make a lot of them.

Guys, It DOES have a classic adventure look the more you get into it. The Air ship level the most. But the haunted levels, the fire levels, even certain jungle levels just have such an awesome presentation that the graphics go from being "kiddy and silly" to "vibrant and spectacular" Seriously, the more you play, the more you realize the games graphics and style are one it's best strengths.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I have a SNES, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, GB, GBA and a Wii. I'm going to buy a DS before christmas. So I'm all nintendo. But my brother has a PS2 so I've played some games on it so I guess I support Sony a little bit :)

Predictions for December 31st 2008:
Wii 38,000,000
DS 84,500,000
PS3 17,000,000
PSP 41,000,000
X360 23,000,000

for story being secondary I would disagree but it comes down to gametype and personal taste. An RPG or adventure game without gripping story is just sad. And even for racing games or fighters I always wonder why nobody makes one with a decent storyline. Imagine a racing game where you play a season against enemies you know or a fighter a la old jean claud vandamme movies. Some games have done this but it always felt tacked on. If game mechanics are great they can stand on their own but I like my games like a good movie or book
