Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Reggie Talks: January event and future Wii titles

As long as the games aren't all 3DS ones all is well

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

I want PAL confirmations for Xenoblade and the Last Story.

Pikmin 3, Wave Race Wii and Starfox would be nice as well.

Pikmin 3 and Wii Vitality Sensor,Wii Relax

"Seen to be believed" can mean only one thing:

$ 99 screen-overlay peripheral for Wii that makes games playable in 3D on a TV screen! kinda like what they had in development for the Gamecube in 2001 but was too expensive.

Also, a new Steel Battalion from Capcom which requires the balance board, 2 wiimote-plus with 2 nunchuks, and a gamecube controller all at once in order to play!

There, I said it!!

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

mini-games on consoles, cinematic games on handhelds, what's next? GameBoy IMAX?

Announce localisations for Xenoblade and The Last Story please, then announce new Wii titles. I don't want to miss out on what could be two of this gen's finest JRPGs.

My guesses for Wii (in addition to stuff we know about like Zelda, Xenoblade, Last Story, Rhythm Heaven, etc) are DKCR2 from Retro Studios, a new Starfox from Platinum Games, a new Pokemon BR from Genius Sonority, a new Custom Robo from Noise, Pikmin 3 from EAD and Mario & Sonic 3 from Sega.  I also think we'll see Nintendo doing more 3rd party pickups this year, like Fatal Frame: Crimson Butterfly, DQM Battle Road Victory and/or Inazuma Eleven Strikers.

@jarrod

a new DKC already?

F-Zero and the 3DS are a perfect match.

Retro is still on their after-game vacation watching how their newest game flops.

Above: still the best game of the year.

"more great Wii games that need to be seen to be believed.”

A new Super Mario RPG by Square-Enix and a new Baten Kaitos.

A new DKC Returns for holiday 2012, this year is very soon.

I am waiting for a release date for Zelda and localization of Xenoblade and The Last Story.

I am also expecting Pikmin 3 to be released this year.

What's going on with Wii Vitality Sensor and Wii Relax? There is someting Nintendo is keeping in secret related to that peripheral. Maybe they are going tu use it to counteract Kinect.

Finally, I don't know why but I am expecting a few high quality games coming from 3rd parties this year (apart from a probable DQX release in Japan this Christmas), considering how well are performing titles like Epic Mickey, GoldenEye or Just Dance 2.
