PS3 shortages?? What!?!? lmao!! There were some shortages in 2009 when the PS3 Slim launched, but there were NO SHORTAGES for the PS3 Slim in 2010. It still did very well this year. If the Kinect had launched in Oct the XBox 360 sales would probably be a few 100K ahead of the PS3 for 2010. The PS3 didn't have any significant gain on the XBox 360. They start 2011 behind. I can't wait for the American economy to recover. Hehehe!!

once the shipments come going by vgc data i expect 360 to have out shipped sony by over 1.2M

b/c if it doesnt things would look weird

just look at this

 

end of sep 2010

shipment gap 2.8M vs VGC 3.8M

end of june 3.7 vs 3.6

end of march 4.6 vs 4.1

end of 09  5.3 vs 5.1

 

now i can by that there were more ps3 on shelves in oct thus resulting in a 1M gap in the gap between shipped vs sold but now end of Dec your gonna tell me that there are more PS3s on shelves than in the fall?

Uuummm.. that's call good marketing from Sony. They are holding the systems back to build up demand for the slower part of the year. Sony has done this several times in the past with the PS1 and PS2. If there were any shortages, Sony was most likely doing it purposely. I honestly didn't see any in 2010 and I live in Arizona. Must not have lasted very long.

Truth be told his comment came out of the blue, but yes as far as dancing games go, I would rather dance with friends.......but this is assuming I would dance in gaming at all.

Wow at 360, Microsoft did the best of nintendo and sony this year... motion games for casuals and the slim console. Americas really loves their xbox. Looks like 2011 really could the the year of the 360.
