Depends on how you look at it. 360 & PS3 are up YoY for the week, the Wii is down. I wouldn't say the PS3 is in a bad position at all, especially if it remains consistent with early 2010 levels.

Conegamer is comparing PS3 to the sales of the other two consoles.  You're just comparing PS3 sales to itself the previous year.  By that metric, yes, the PS3 is doing great.  But not everyone has to look at things solely from that point of view.

Hence my first sentence: "Depends on how you look at it"

From that approach, you just complimented my point.

That wasn't said to discredit your point - it is valid, as I said above.

People have their own choice as to how they want to look at the #'s.

We all knew that Kinext would sell a lot thanks to the huge marketing push it had and the holiday season. It hasn't even slowed wii sales at all.

The real trial for Kinect starts this month.

360 is just a beast in Americas!

PS3 doing good numbers, but compared to the competition it's a bit disappointing.

Man these sales threads are really becoming hostile territory now on VGchartz.  

Every one seeing good results and its nice to see three healthy systems on the market at once but OMG at 360 and Kinect sales.  MS has really done an incredible job this gen when you compare it to the original Xbox. They have grown the brand by leaps and bounds.

Dance Central is so far superior to those two titiles it isnt even worth discussing... and yes I have all of these titles in my home.  You?

PS3 shortages?? What!?!? lmao!! There were some shortages in 2009 when the PS3 Slim launched, but there were NO SHORTAGES for the PS3 Slim in 2010. It still did very well this year. If the Kinect had launched in Oct the XBox 360 sales would probably be a few 100K ahead of the PS3 for 2010. The PS3 didn't have any significant gain on the XBox 360. They start 2011 behind. I can't wait for the American economy to recover. Hehehe!!
