Forums - Gaming Discussion - What problems have you had with any console since the Sega Saturn to presen

GC laser died but I don't think it was from too much usage, it died shortly after I took it with me one time to the Middle East and my electric converter wasn't working on it so I just plugged it in directly and it worked for a while lol - had it repaired at a local VG shop and it worked good as new :)

Wii laser died once. I think it was because of too much continuous usage, we'd sometimes play the poor thing almost non-stop for days (taking turns lol) - warranty had expired by then, had to spend 1/2 my new game money on repairs XD

Around the Network

PS1 - started overheating because it was the first generation model. Sent it to Sony and paid 75 dollars because it just went out of warranty. I was pissed about the whole situation since it barely made it past the warranty and I never forgave Sony for it. I am glad because it sent me back to Nintendo.

GCN - I put it in a check-in luggage and on the trip back the hard case suitcase was damaged and the GCN was messed up. Learned my lesson to never put electronics in a check-in bag. I later got it working again but I bought another GCN (which were cheap at the time) to replace it.

Is it sad that I find it much more interesting that you specifically started with the Sega Saturn instead of consoles in general much more interesting than this thread?

Thanks Twestern! Well I was trying to justart out with the console generation after the Snes. This was as good a place as any I figured.

lol

since psx the only console ive bought is xbox 360. havent had any trouble so far

Sega Genesis (1992): Console still works fine... but it's the missing cables that are the problem.
GameBoy Color (1998): Worked fine (sold).
Nintendo 64 (1998): Still works like a charm.
GameBoy Advance (2001): Worked fine (sold).
GameBoy Advance SP (2003): Worked fine (sold).
Nintendo GameCube Purple (2002): Worked fine (sold).
Nintendo GameCube Platinum (2004): Still works like a charm.
Nintendo DS (2005): Worked fine (sold)
Nintendo DS Lite (2006): Works great aside from a cracked hinge.
Nintendo DSiXL (2010): Worked fine (sold)
Wii (2006): Aside from the occasional dual-layer disc hissy fit, it works great.
Nintendo 3DS (2011): Works fine.

And then there's my brother and his Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 (2007): RRoD (x2) Sent in both times, E74 Error (Had enough and sold it.)
Xbox 360 S (2010): Works like a charm.
