Forums - Gaming Discussion - You know what I want to see? A New San fransisco Rush

Really, those games were aswsome. Especially with the stunt arena. I think that would be the perfect franchise to bring arcade racers* back to prominence. Because I have a feeling Cruis'n might not be the game to do it.

Whose with me?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

The stunt mode in Rush USA could have been a stand alone game in itself. I used to play it for hours and still play it every once in a while. I would love an old school Rush game, but they would probably screw it up and make a sandbox style pimp my ride gansta style piece of crap that most racing games are these days.

The Burnout series is easily my favorite for arcade racers these days. A well-executed San Francisco Rush would certainly be welcome, though. I lost many, many hours to four-player stunt mode on San Francisco Rush 2049 (Dreamcast). Good times.

Unfortunately, this abomination was likely the series' last gasp:

Both Crusin (which has been a horrible series) and Rush series are dead. Don't trust Midway to make a good racing game, they always try to make quick poor quality ports for money.

a proper revival of rush would be great, I'd love to see a new rush game that is as good as rush 2049 was for the dreamcast, man the battle and stunt modes were well constructed in that game, in my opinion each of the 3 parts could have been a stand alone game

It's funny that the last Rush game made was pretty much exactly as you feared.

That Gauntlet video is as awesome as L.A. Rush isn't.

I want new Extreme G, and new Revolt games. Oh and a new Star Wars Pod Racer game! These along with the early Burnouts were some of the few racing games to please me.

I have to agree on Rush. I loved the stunt tracks.
