Woo, party of sorts? :p Just shows much lack of support from Japan is affecting the 360 tbh.

I don't think so: after all xbox users are mostly interested in games coming from US/EU publishers...and those publishers are interested in western userbase (95% of there sales comes from the west). So as long as the X360 is strong in the west the fact that in Japan is actually non existant is pure statistics both for the users and for the developers.

2008 year end sales (made in January 2008):

44.2 M 27.1 M 20.8 M

Yeah but if you look at the table of comparison that shows the game consoles total sales, including a region breakdown, 360 stands out like a sore thumb with 1.-something million, whichever way you look at it, atrocious sales. Sure enough EMEAA does make up for some of the difference, but with Japan involved, it could have steamed so much farther now.

Sony really should have dropped the price of PSP early last year in west. Before these holidays the numbers PSP pulled were so damn horrible that I don't understand why there wasn't price cut. Now it's probably too late for price cut to have any meaningfull impact. This also shows how damn big handheld market is in Japan compared to home consoles. Heck there is decent chance that lifetime sales of PSP will be bigger in Japan than in US.

If a noun ends with a Y and the letter in front of it is a consonant, the plural of that word ends with -ies. If the letter in front of the Y is a vowel, then you just add an S for the plural; example: boys.

bad example, they all say bois in my town rol.

good for the 36psp

Wohooooo... and it matters why? One is a home console, the other is a handheld. Why would you even compare it. Hell, its actually the loosing handhled, and even then its still a longshot if it will EVER outsell it WW. I dont want to ruin the party, but small "victories" like this are really worth celebrating? I mean, this is similar to the "X console outsold Y for the week" threads....

It's not a victory, it's a comparison, it's always interesting to note when certain HW pass each other.

It's not a long shot it'll outsell PSP WW lifetime either ..

And the PS3 has long since outsold the 360....excluding America.....
