Hopefully, theres some good games on the psp which deserve far better sales than they currently have.
@ leo-j, your right theres some good games, but I doubt they will sell that well. I find it strange here in the UK they advertise DS everywhere, its on loads of TV stations billbords etc.... but nothing on PSP, its like they have given up... Its still selling ok, but could be selling alot more.

Well the UK was allways a week market for the PSP , so I guess that they decided to put their money elsewhere :)

It's ok if all of the games don't sell well.  A lot of developers make PSP/PS2, PSP/Wii, PSP/DS, or PSP/PS2/Wii games.  Even after the PS2 dies, the developers will still be able to share some of the PSP game development costs with DS/Wii games.

currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)

will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)

How can they have a shortage. No one is buying the thing ans second more Wii's were sold altogether. So I do not know what your talking about?

Yes, people are buying the PSP.  They are just buying a lot less games for it for some strange reason.  I've been looking at the PSP's game's list and it has some good games out for it.  If you liked the PS2, the PSP has many of the same types of games, which should be a good thing.  I don't understand what's hurting game sales so much.  No one was discussing Wii sales in here so please stay on topic!

I've been contemplating asking for one for Christmas... the battery life thing kinda scares me though.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

eh, be glad you aren' t being subjected to the annoying ads that they are running here in the US,

on topic I've seen plenty of psps every where I go, units are moving but as usual units seem to be moving faster than games,

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the US PSP ads are pretty bad. The guy in the commercial is like a creepy Dwight Schrute and not in the good way.

They certainly aren't selling out in my gamestop. In fact the clerks jokingly complain about the space the untouched PSP games take up on the wall. And the same Daxter/PSP bundle has been sitting on the top shelf for a month or two now.

The independent gamestore in a town a half hour away cut their PSP library in half to make space for more 360 games. They even have a list of PSP games they aren't allowed to buy back because they just don't sell.
