Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Soul Caliburt V on Wii - Facebook petition

"@lordtheknight  do whatever helps you sleep at night, as for the 2nd raters. IMO there Wii games have not been all that, thats why they are 2nd raters."

Again, I'm not disagreeing with that. But I see more of a future for them, as they are willing to learn and improve, even if it would take a lot more games for them to get the practice.

If someone is set in their ways, they can't change with the times, and we've seen plenty of developers crash or are near crashing due to that, even though they have the skills, but not the will to use them in another direction.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

@bobbuffalo  your right most of us dont know how it feels because most of us wouldn't limit ourselves to just one console. We would never complain as much cause again, we would be multiplat owners. If someone has one console out of love for whatever company, cool, but its ignorant to expect that one company to get ALL the bells and whistles, there has never been a home console since Nintendo and possibly PS2 that got everydamn thing. If there is a person who just does not have the funds to buy another system, my heart breaks for them. I was there, i would have loved to own a SNES in addition to my Genesis and N64 in addition to my PS1.

And if someone is being a tightwad then I have no sympathy for them and if they want to keep screaming on deaf ears, have at it. This whole "principle" argument is as old as "collecting dust". If the games on your system of choice is so great why the hell do you want what others have??? YOu want companies to make games that you wont buy anyway just to prove a point??? Thats ridiculous.

That's the most stupid thing I have ever heard so far.I am not going to spend on another console to play games that I can have very well in my console just because the idiotic developers think they can treat me like crap and "gamers" like you applauds that. That's stupid.

Accept the god damn fact that 3d parties have no respect to wii users. The reasons are beyond pathetic.

You can buy more than one console? oh good for you! I don't give a damn! Not everyone is going to do that simply because we don't have to! Period.

And again you have no idea of this situation so better be quiet.

I thought PSP support fell because of piracy. The only devs trying to support it are Square Enix but their only PSP games are spinoffs, of console games. Capcom seems to support it as well, but only with Monster Hunter

Piracy is a factor, but most people are not pirates; at least not in the industrialized world, there are several places outside of Japan, North America and Europe where piracy is rampant.  While piracy takes a chunk out of game sales, if the games are good then people will buy them, and that's what's most important; if a game is being pirated more than it is being bought, then the game isn't good enough to make people want to buy it.

As long as a game sells, you keep making it regardless of piracy.  Oh you can fight back against piracy, but you don't stop making games outright.

@cobretti  Capcom said that??? the same Capcom that said RE4 would stay GC exclusive???? Why are you even believing these companies???? THey are all liars. As for RE5 as a man who owns the game, trust me your not missing anything. Sony users got shafted to as they had to buy another damn version of the game to use the Move function, no matter to me, it got boring quick anyway

@Darc Requiem  you answered your own question. They sell in JAPAN. THese games are made by Japanese companies, I dont think its hard to see the connection here. Its not like Wii fighters sell that well even in their home country (Tvs.C) had horrible sales. But you know what MvsC3 is right around the corner, it will do alright on both systems and then maybe Capcom will say WTH put it on Wii too.

As for people keep bringing up PSP, its not like the PSP and Wii have the same architect and GPU and its been around alot longer so devs have more experience with it. Anyone ever thought that might be a reason why you see fighters on there and not Wii. Just because they have similar graphics doesnt mean the insides are the same look at PS360

Oniyide you just crushed your own argument. Fighting games sell much better outside of Japan. This is a sales site, if you don't believe me look it up. Japan still has an arcade scene, fighting games don't sell nearly as well there as they do in the US or Europe where the arcade seen is all but gone. So porting to PSP limits to the region that sells the least fighting games. That makes no business sense.

The Wii and the GC do have  similar architecture and the GC launched in 2001. Soul Calibur II arguably ran the best on GC. So the Soul Calibur team obvious has a handle on the hardware. You are doing a better job of undermining your points than any of the posters that disagree with you.

I'd say SC2 actually ran best on Xbox.  It used the GC version's code for the port (SC2 for AC/PS2 and GC were developed in parallel btw, the GC version wasn't a port) but displays at 720p.  If only it had Link, it'd be the best version unquestionably. ;)

Sometime I forget that the original Xbox was the first HD console ahaha.

Didn't GT4 run in 1080i mode or something? lol!

Also Dreamcast did VGA output, but I'm not sure if it actually then rendered above 480p?  Whatever the case Sega was always ahead of their time... I miss Sega hardware. :(

Not sure about GT4. I know the original Xbox had several games that ran at 720p. I know most GC games ran at 480p. I thought most PS2 games only did 480i?

Sega still does what Nintendon't, after all. If Dreamcast were hypothetically still up and running, Dreamcast owners would *still* have better online multiplayer than anything Nintendo's done so far, though Nintendo's online ills are mostly self-imposed (outside of Brawl's incredible brokenness anyway)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
