Again, I'm not disagreeing with that. But I see more of a future for them, as they are willing to learn and improve, even if it would take a lot more games for them to get the practice.
If someone is set in their ways, they can't change with the times, and we've seen plenty of developers crash or are near crashing due to that, even though they have the skills, but not the will to use them in another direction.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
