In any case, people were indeed talking shit about the game prior to its release.  It's only fair to put the cold hard facts in their face, to show how ignorant their trolling was.

I didn't take the bait though, he edited in the mention of Forza after my first initial post, which is a bit petty to be honest. He made the thread then ran off looking for Forza sales, lulz, besides what I doubted was it's ability to move significant hardware, doesn't seem that spectacular.

actually it's not my intention to bait, but if it happens, fine. actually i edited it in because at first, i didn't want to say it because i'm sure it'll piss a lot of people off. but hell, it's more informative this way so i decided to put it. when i edited it in, the thread didn't have any other posts yet aside from my original post.

and so... did forza move any consoles? that isn't the topic of discussion. i'm just talking game sales, not console sales.

Yeah,that's corect.I expect holiday season 2011 to be at least 2/5 of 2010's for GT5.

It truly is amazing how GT hasn't lost any of it's popularity,despite 6 games releasing(not counting Prologues),and to release GT5 right into the holiday was Sony's best move in 2010(no pun intended).

Speaking of that guys,do you think Sony will keep the release date in November for future GT games?Is GT6 and upcoming GT titles going to taste a lil bit of the good ol' holiday boost as well?:D

Still weak, Halo did those kind of sales in a couple of weeks much futher away from Christmas.

Anyway it is still tooo early to tell, you know many people were called haters for saying that GT5 might do only 8-9M LTD and other inflaming nonsense.

I just hope to play the next GT on the PS4, and probably it will release not too long after the console does. Those car models look insane, I can't even begin to imagine them being rendered by a more powerful graphics card.
