Fact remains Forza 3 is still better. Not about sales as GT5 has been around a LOT longer then Forza and has a huge international following, which Forza Motorsport would never get immediately as it's an American made game. Japan hates American games.

So, it's not just me who believes this. The fact remains the same. When Forza 4 is released it will be even more convincing to critics. The King of Racing will continue into the next generation. Nuff said.

Funny you'd say that.  Japan is certainly not the country where the series is most popular.  So this comment is completely irrelevent. 

As far as I know, fact is I prefer GT to Forza.  So the fact is, GT is still better than Forza, as far as I'm concerned.  GT5 is the king of console sim racing, something I never felt was the case for Forza when I played the games in that series, as great a time I had with them.

You should certainly check the Inside Sim Racing review part 1.  The game isn't being reviewed as a mere game, or bitched about how long the wait was.  It's compared to the best of the best available in the genre (which is on PC and doesn't include Forza).  Those guys are doing this for a living.  I trust their view much more that the ignorant car amateurs that serves as reviewers on the regular video games sites.

Never compare score of differents games... GT5 expectation was so huge and the score show that.

Like LBP receive a 10/10 from critics and LBP2 receive just a 9/10... but all of them said LBP2 is way better than LBP.

Face it and read the fucking reviews... don't see just the score..

Better how? If you read the content of those reviews you will find they pretty much all say the driving physics of GT5 make it the best simulator on consoles. For many who want a full and authentic driving experience, that is the most important factor. Some reviews have even compared it to PC sims which are highly advanced (iRacing for instance).

If you prefer a fun racing game with good driving physics then Forza has it. But for many who want their sim fix, GT5 is the best choice.

No @#$% Sherlock. I know it's more popular in the Euro countries. My point was Japan market doesn't buy Forza at all really compared to GT. Euro countries do purchase more copies of Forza, but it's still less popular in those markets then in the U.S.  Don't insult my intelligence, please. lol!! I've played  every GT game except Prologue versions which is a waste of money in my opinion. I still own every version and every Forza game as well.

GT5 had sold 5.5 Million units, 2 weeks after release (shipped of course).

After playin both games, I really wasnt too impressed with Forza.

It has an arcade feel to it, and doesnt really feel like a great simulator...

I think the aproach has more to do with processing power (or lack therof) than with creativity and focus.

i love how insecure forza fans come into the thread and blather on about meta scores and other such nonsense.

my OP was all about sales. not once did i say that gt is a better game. i merely said that obviously, in the sales department, gt5 is doing far better than its nearest competition. sales only.
