You forgot one important factor that can really help its sales: The inclusion of CO-OP!

Co-op is only offline though, so not going to be a big draw at all.

Personally I think Killzone 3 will break 3mil so I reckon when all is said and done it will be about 1mil ahead of its predecessor.

Be interesting to see if Killzone 2's sales pick up at all in the same way that Uncharted 2 boosted Uncharted 1...

Really? Wasn't there supposed to be online co-op as well?

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

i think that Killzone 3 will be the Uncharted 2 of the series...i think the game can sell 1M first week and 4M LTD.

this is near 4 million

I think i am the only one who believes KZ3 will sell less then KZ2. Granted, i am buying it day 1, but i am still sticking to my prediction of 2.2M LTD

Anyone remember the pre-orders in America for KZ2?

looks like you don't know how consoles work. Splitscreen is a huge factor in game sales- a lesson devs are relearning.

Time for hype

I can see 1 million . It's like another history re-run of Cod4 and MW2. I think it has to do with people buying the first one used and old after hearing it from their friends or something, and the second one on release date, or near to it.

Like me personally, I bought KZ2 from Gamestop's used department, after hearing it from my friend. After experiencing it, and getting hyped up for KZ3, I'm 120% buying it on release day.

This is based on what evidence exactly?

Yeah those are some really good points actully, but there is a chance it wont be. personally i think it will be an excellent game and i hope it does at least 5 mill worldwide. but about the marketing point, here in the EU, Sony dont market as much as Microsoft or Nintendo here. and for some reason in their strongest region they havent used Kevin Butler, which is probabily there strongest marketing tool, this seems bizzare to me.

In the US at least KZ2 had a big marketing campaign.  I can't figure out why people keep saying it didn't.  I saw that trailer with the slow motion bullet whizzing through the air more times then I can remember.
