Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3DS question.

If you play a DS game on 3DS will the screen by adjusted (Zoomed in)  to fit the 3DS screen? Also is the 3DS brighter than the DS lite? and the 3DS costs 300 dollars right when it comes out?

Im thinking about getting a 3DS for my birthday along with zelda OOT remake and pokemon white (Yeah i know it's a ds game)

No US price has been announced yet. The January 19th press conference should have that info.

I don't think it zooms in when playing normal DS games on it. You'll probably get black boarders on the sides on the top screen just like when you watch a 4:3 movie on a widescreen TV. Also it's probably going to be brighter than the DS Lite because the DSi is brighter than the Lite.

No official price has been announced yet but I'm guessing it's going to retail at $250.

hmmm ok thanks. ur probably right about the borders. Its probably going to be as bright as the DSi. and damn i wish i could get the system for 150 dollars then i would get it

I'd rather expect it to launch at 250$.

The japanese package includes a 2GB SD card and 6 cards for augmented reality games and the price was about 220 Euro. So I'd expect them to launch at 250$ / Euro.

And yeah it should be as bright as the DSi, maybe a tad brighter (although you shouldn't need an even brighter screen, the DSi is very bright on the highest setting).

You can save anything you want to the SD card.  Whether the 3DS will have an in game playback feature is unknown at this time.

lol, the DSi is barely cheaper. Its probubly between 250-300$. In Canada pre-orders are availible at 300$ and since our dollar is at par with the US and games no longer cost much more then america. I'd suspect that EBGames expects it to retail at 300$ but you never know it could be as low as 250$ but that would mean less profit for Nintendo and we all know how much they care about profit.

If Nintendo doesn't include an MP3 player for that 5.1 surround system speakers they got going on with the 3DS, then i will flip!

I got a question too:

What about region locks? The last statement I heard of was that it's not decided.
