Forums - Sales Discussion - The best selling games of 2010 (multiplatforms included)

Do you know precisely which games sold how much in 2010? A fellow VGChartian asked me this question, and I was fairly sure that I did. VGChartz does after all have a yearly page with the sales for the year, although those are single-platform only.

It turns out I had little to no clue. It turns out that quite a few other people on here also have little to no clue. So I decided to bring it up to attention. This is after all a sales site, the community should know a bit about sales.

If you were asked how much James Cameron's Avatar: The game sold, would you know it sold a million? Or that it actually sold 2.5 million?  Or if you were asked about how many titles had sold more than the sales phenomenon of Just Dance 2 this year, would you say 28?

The single platform list is obviously just here: http://www.vgchartz.com/yearly.php , this list is the multiplatform one. It's compiled by me from the link I just posted, and as I'm a lazy slob I most likely missed a few titles. If you spot one I've missed, it would be lovely if you told me.

TheSource posted a top 20 best selling games of 2010 list (including multiplatforms) just this week, so I already had a good idea how your list would look like.

I feel clever now.

GT5 doesn't need an "all platforms" parentheses.

It needs one, because it's available for PS3s that can play PS2 games and PS3s that can't do the same.

That still isn't all platforms, Rol.

If you really think that, then why haven't you edited it yet?

Because then I'd be doing something CGI-quality told me to do. Now I could edit it, because you told me to do it.

I make trivial things like editing posts very complicated sometimes.

Now it says "(one platform)".

The platform that shall not be named.

Yes, Rol. It says "(one platform)". Well done.
