I'll believe it when I see it.

I want people to apologize to me when we see Apple on vgchartz.

Coming to stores near you, iPlay, an innovative way to play your games! Under $1500! Only $1499.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Apple isn't about entering established markets, never has been. It's all about establishing new markets - easier to gain dominance in a market that way.

Can you just imagine VGChartz filled with Apple fans? Such a terrible nightmare to even think of.

"They like to change the rules of the game so, the new rules favour them." - Gamerace

Apple enters with the console market with iPlay (As in, I play music, I play video games, I play slideshow)

The iPlay: has full media playing functionality (audio, video, photo, etc), supports most existing iOS Apps, a robust web browser and cutting edge 1080p graphics. They could sell it as a home media player, a trendy but basic computer and a game console (like Sony does with Ps3)

It uses motion sensing touchscreen remotes controls to input commands

All the games are download only (alternatively, download kiosks can be found at most malls, Walmarts, Gamestops etc) cost 50 bucks or less and usually come out a week before the physical copies their competitors sell. Apple requests creative input from major publishers and developers during it's design ( and actually listen/implement many of their ideas) to ensure the system is easy to develop for. They also offer publishers a low liscensing fee, higher profit margins and control over game pricing

It cost 400-500USD for the basic model and is of course sold at a profit.

If they did all of this, they might get the number 3 spot (globally) and number 2 in the US.

Notice you didn;t mention any games, this is why Apple will lose

A little biased, no? Anyway, I see no way this could happen.

If Nintendo had the slightest intention of battling Apple in the future, Iwata would not admit owning and enjoying an iPod, :P. I don't think Nintendo's quite so humble as to actually praise those who they see as potential competition.

Lol he sais that because the ipod is the enemy of the walk man which is sony. if apple joined battle he would probably throe ipod out of window ^^

Yeah i know my spelling sucks but im dysgraphic so live with it :3

They could just use that 51 billion they got to buy a few major third party publishers (Sega, EA, Take 2, Ubi-Soft, ).Imagine if they just bought EA, they'd instantly own virtually the whole sports genre. Additionally, they could buy lots of timed exclusives and dlc. I'm sure theres some studio or team out there working on a killer app right now, all Apple would need to do is swoop in, buy the title and or team and publish it.

I consider the iPad to be a home console, Apple has entered and is shipping around the same level of Microsoft and Sony on a per year basis with overall hardware revenues the highest in the industry.

Tease.
