i just tried downloading the demos but it said psn is under maintenance, il try later on.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

just finished it. overall impressions are: meh.

Not that it's bad or anything. It's more of the same, It had really nice visuals and the weapons were fun to use but that's just it. If you liked the first Dead Space, you'll like this.

I'll probably rent it or pick it up cheap.

yeah, it feels really close to DS1 and this was expected

from the demo, I have the feeling that there will be more "set piece" and more "wow moment" and also more "big battle" where u have to fight severals enemies

Time to Work !

Tried at my PS3

Graphics: Slighty better than the first game, the animations looks more fluid, some of the backgrounds like the church looks pretty nice, other looks repetitive and boring like the freezer at the beginning.

Sound: Great, atmospheric, creppy and guess what? Seems like Issac Clark has a little more personality this time. He even curses at inanimate objects.

Control: My only gripe is the camera. It feels too loose at moments, in one of the elevators I was attacked by a necromorph while the bloody thing was busy looking at the ceilingm the rest of the scheme was quite simiar to the first game, the zero gravity experice was improved as well.

Overall: The game feels good, pretty much like the first one but with a bigger focus in action (There's a puzzle but way to similar to the first game) I'll give it an 8/10 the camera was quite an issue for me.

Didn't get a chance to play it yet because I left my ps3 on all night to dl the demos for LBP2, ME2, MAG, and Dead Space 2....Why do I have a feeling I'm going to be spending the holiday just playing demos?

Theres a demo of ME2?

And MAG? Does the MAG demo let you play online and is there a time limit?

Sweet demo for Dead space 2, I'm sure I'll love the game

but playing this and the ME2 demo made me realize that I'm slowly growing tired of the current level of game graphics. Yeah, I know these games look terrific and cost millions but I'm still eager to see the next big jump. Unfortunately, PC gaming these days does not use all the available horsepower (even though it's sweet to play with high def and strong AA) so I guess I'll have to wait for the next gen... And it might take a few years as Sony and MS are now dedicated to their motion sensing stuff

Dead Space 2 is doing the same thing I didn't like about the first one, and that is over relying on cheap scares. I was laughing at the amount of cheap scares in the demo. First you get some sort of hallucination, then steam pops off from the wall, and then a monster suddenly jumps at you.  It becomes too predictable and boring. It might surprise you once in a while, but it won't have you wetting your pants. It would've been better if that hallucination stayed for a while instead of just a few seconds. Oh well, let's hope the full game has that.

I did like the part with the monster babies. You were in a dark room with a bunch of little critters coming after you from everywhere. I want to see more of that. Shooting was good, but I didn't like the little puzzle with the gravity. It was kind of dull. I might give it a rent, but the demo didn't really do it for me.

Son of a bitch, there's a demo? I'm on it!

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Not Really... the MAG demo let's you play indefinitely but it has a level 8 cap.
