I think the best sim like that was Pharaoh. Ceasar III was the most technical one in my opinion.

Why did they stop making games like that? They were the best...

I never did play Pharaoh but I'm contemplating buying it since it's a lot like Caesar and I love the Egyptian theme.

First saw it at my (then) schoolmates place. Both his dad and him played it. I borrowed it not long after and really liked it. Never got to return the game either, still at my place.
