Forums - Microsoft Discussion - MS catering to casual market by mainly having the 4g kinect bundle

My brother in-law is looking for kinect for his wife as a Christmas present and is having a hard time finding the 250 gig kinect bundle. I mean even at Microsoft's own store http://store.microsoft.com/microsoft/Gaming-Xbox-360-Consoles/category/306  they don't have the 250 gig kinect bundle.  Are they worried people might percieved the 250 bundle as too expensive compared to the Wii or Move?  It seems like they are just selling out but looking at the xbox 360 tracker http://www.nowinstock.net/videogaming/consoles/microsoft/xbox360elite/ there are online stores that haven't restocked since November. Is Microsoft especially catering to the casual market by mainly having the 4g kinect bundle? I wonder if ioi has a breakdown of the bundle figures or if people who work on local stores notice a trend of mainly 4g kinect bundles.

Couldn't it also be more people are just buying the 250gig bundle?

All the parents I know who are buying their kids a Kinect bundle this year even against my advice (some of them, not all of them, don't really need the 250gig bundle) are buying the 250gig bundle because of the implied value.  You can either get 4GB or for $100 more get another 250GB!

Also, if your brother is having troubles finding a bundle, check places like Sears.
