You want a Wii HD? Easy Peasy. Just run the dolphin emulator, set the video output to 720p or 1080p and your got your Wii HD.

This. However, I'd like to do it legally

The thing is, if it's THIS EASY, why doesn't Nintendo do it then? Something I never understood about Nintendo (also, no DVD support is similar)

How bout force Nintendo to publish their games for Sony? PSMove is pretty much an HD Wii without the games :|

What I want from a game.

Gameplay > Story > Content > Graphics

Visual Style > Graphics

Smooth Camera, Intuitive Controls

Friction! When everything feels right!

Didn't they try this with the original PS? That didn't work, so I wouldn't hold your breath

(I get it)

Honestly, there's no way I'd buy an upgrade like that; if Bii has it then I don't mind I guess, but unlike motion controls, I do see HD as "worthless and gimmicky".

YOU ARE ALIVE STILL!

But, I agree. HD is more vain than advantageous, PS2 graphics are fine for what needs to be done. HD just raises the price, development costs and cuts down on originality. That's why XBL, WiiWare et al were invented to accomodate for this.

Motion controls has more options than HD. Just saying

YEAH, :D!

I think that HD is the main reason the industry (except Nintendo) collapsed onto itself this generation. It should've been saved for next generation because it's far too costly to be worth it quite yet.

Nintendo really struck a gold mine with motion controls - they're cheap, effective and are regarded as innovative. If only third parties had supported the Wii early on this generation, it would have been far more profitable than any previous one.

Sadly this didn't happen, because HD is more "shiny"

We'll have to agree to disagree there.

I should think gold is more shiny than HD, xD.

Perhaps. But developers were blinded by how awesome it could be, without any long-run plans, such as the high costs of development, hence why the Wii was stuck with the rubbish for a long time. Gladly, things are changing now!

At this point, I don't think that's gonna make much of a difference; since they made all good games for PS360 early on, the fanbase is there and is not gonna buy a Wii now. Therefore, since the audience is on the HD consoles, most successful third party franchises are doomed to flop if they're brought over.

You should be glad that Capcom was smart enough to start the MH franchise on the Wii, :P
