Hey everyone!

I have been playing a bunch of JRPGs on my DS lately, and now I would like to get started on the pile of JRPGs I have for my PS2! I am having an X-mas vacation right now, and though I would use some time to play a couple of games. I brought a little bunch of games with me to my parents, but I am really unsure what game I should start with. Any thoughts about these games would be nice :)

The PS2 games I brought are:

-Odin Sphere

-Final Fantasy X

-Suikoden IV

-Disgaea: Hour of darkness

-Kingdom Hearts

Suikoden IV is the best out of them.

Kingdom Hearts 1 is good too.

Final Fantasy X marked Final Fantasy's fall from grace for me, but its still a decent game.

final fantasy 10 and kingdom hearts are the best of the bunch. 1suikoden 4 is a bit weak the story sucks to me ive never played odin sphere but ive heard good things.

FF X and then Suikoden.

I would say Kingdom Hearts and then Suikoden IV. If you don't enjoy A-JRPG's that much, then Suikoden IV is the way to go.

Nooooooooooooooooo. Suikoden IV sucks. Its the worst Suikoden ever. If you can, get Suikoden V.

Of the ones you mentioned: FFX (one of the worst FF to me but its more a traditional JRPG than say Kingdom hearts).

Never played Disgaea though so I dont know.

All I know it there was a time in my life I absolutely loved JRPG and I still hated Suikoden IV

I actually enjoyed Suikoden IV a lot, but I agree with you, Suikoden V is way better

Out of that list, FFX is the one I would recommend as the last option. Not that I disliked it, but to me, it's the worst option there. KH takes the top spot, but that's because I'm a major KH fan xD.

This and Disgaea is great if you want something a little less serious than either one of those, judging by your avatar you like the Paper Mario series and Disgaea is a humorous game like that and it's also a strategy JRPG with a lot of hours of play.

Oh and it's one of the few JRPGs with really good voice work, Disgaea despite all of it's lowbudgetness spanks the pants off FFX in the voice acting department.

Final Fantasy X was once recognized as the best game of all time.  I'm not joking.  Use that information as you see fit.

While Suikoden IV might be at the bottom when compared to 1-3 and 5, it is still better than most.  I did enjoy the "prequel"ness of it and if you have not played any of the other Suikdoen games it would be a good place to start.  Hell, while you do not NEED to play any of them to enjoy the others, they are definitely better if you do. 

Odin Sphere is probably the most "japanese" of all the games listed above.  It is a fanstic Action RPG and it is Atlus in whom you can never go wrong. 

Best two Dev/Publishers on the PS2 for RPGs is easily Atlus and NIS for your pure "anime" feel RPGs.
