Forums - General Discussion - 3D with glasses doesn't seem to like me. What is the answer?

I liked the original Tron movie, and was up for seeing Tron: Legacy.  Well, I am looking locally and it is ONLY in 3D it appears, so it looks like I will be skipping it in the theater.  Ok, you may ask why.  Well, I did try to see Up in 3D.  I happened to try to put on the 3D glasses over my regular glasses and what became apparently is my regular glasses aren't spotless.  So, the 3D with my regular glasses exposes smudges and so on that then become noticable, and ruin the 3D effects.

So, I need to ask here exactly what am I supposed to do. Even when clean, it looks like it has scratch marks on them.  I think I am doomed to not do 3D with glasses, which I accept.  But wondering what the answer is to be.  As of now, the answer is pass.  As far as I know, I don't have coverage for new glasses either, so what I have is what I am stuck with now.  I don't mind if I don't see a movie in 3D either, because it isn't something I am used to, and I usually watch for the story, and supporting effects.

Are contact lenses not an option?

Edit: What the guy above me said.

I have glasses also and when i say avater it was not really a problem but then again if it is a good movie i do not really care if it is in 3d but in would just want to see it so in your case i would just wait for the Blu ray release or pirate

Never wore them and don't feel comfortable with them. Also, more personal maintenance than I prefer.  As of now, money is tight, so stuck with what I have.

Is there a way to put them on the inside of your regular glasses?

Ugh, try that and get blurriness still. Might be the nature of the glasses the movie theater passes out don't work well with my glasses.

Could be, I dont know what to tell you.   Dont they make a liquid that you spray on glasses that is supposed to fill the small scratches?  I thought I saw something like that in a store somewhere

Just wait for this. Watch a movie in 3D without the need of glasses.

just clean your glasses and make sure the 3d glasses are spot free or close to it too. I saw tangled and had a slight smug on the 3d glasses but my glasses were pretty much spot free so the experience was fine. Forget the movie I saw before it that was 3d but both were spotless and everything was a-ok with everything spot free.
