Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Friend Claims he can get a 3DS for $50

Sure he can

Around the Network

If anything in this world (especially on the internet) sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

He could, but I doubt launch period.

The site is a Pay Per Bid Auction House.  The site get's money per bid. The bid Amount doesn't go towards the cost of the item. The winner then payed the site an amount based on the number of bids Item final bid amount. So technicly yes, but again. On launch period I doubt it.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

It is possible that he will get the 3DS from that site for "Only $50" but with how that website works I imagine he would end up spending several times that much money buying bids before he wins ...

everything friends claim is false except sleeping with your mom.

I wouldn't trust that site with my money. I only use reputable sites and since I've never heard of the site before I sure as heck wouldn't invest money on it. I doubt he'll get his 3DS if he does it will probubly end up costing him far more then 50$. Plus I wouldn't even pre-pay for an item like the 3DS off of ebay, no guarantee you'll get one at launch if ever!

In that website 1 cent. bid costs you like 1$ to purchase.

Everytime you bid, you are covered some moments later by another bidder, which in many cases is a website admin with an account with infinite money or a bot.

Those websites are a scam...

There's only 3 ways of getting a 3DS for 50$:

1) Buy it in 2016

2) Find someone else to pay the extra 200$ (assuming it costs 250$)

3) Buy it from someone who stole it from a kid and now wants some quick cash for white dust.

Answer 1: Of course he can get a 3DS for 50$, because companies just LOVE to sell their stuff at a loss.

Answer 2: Yes, he can get a 3DS for 50$. After he paid 200-250$ before the 50$.

Answer 3: Yes of course. It will not be from Nintendo, though. His 3D-S will be a high quality system made by the great Chinese company Nintondo.

edit: I'm quite sure only one of the above 3 answers is correct or almost correct...

Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/

I used to know a guy who said he already had a ps3 :P 2 years before launch >_< I told him it wasn`t even out yet, he told me it was. Same went for Kingdom hearts 2. We never believed each other, I wonder who was right.... Actually I just know he`s an idiot. He was always a year younger than me, a few years later he was 2 years older than me.
